{"id":420,"date":"2014-01-15T14:51:45","date_gmt":"2014-01-15T12:51:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/miningwatch.ro\/sitenou\/?page_id=420"},"modified":"2014-03-02T13:01:12","modified_gmt":"2014-03-02T11:01:12","slug":"etapele-de-avizare-pentru-proiectul-minier-baita-craciunesti-zacamantul-teascu","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/miningwatch.ro\/en\/etapele-de-avizare-pentru-proiectul-minier-baita-craciunesti-zacamantul-teascu\/","title":{"rendered":"The approval stages for the mining project B\u0103i\u0163a Cr\u0103ciune\u015fti, Teascu deposit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Environmental Agreement for the Regional Urban Planning (PUZ)<\/b><\/p>\n<span class=\"symple-highlight symple-highlight-green \"> In October 2011<\/span>, Deva Gold SA issued a notification announcing that the first version of the Regional Urban Planning \u201ePUZ \u2013 Mining of gold-silver ores in the B\u0103i\u0163a Cr\u0103ciune\u015fti area, Teascu deposit\u201d outside the built area of Fize\u015f locality, on the administrative territory of B\u0103i\u0163a and Certeju de Sus communes had commenced, and that the <a href=\"http:\/\/gazetadedimineata.ro\/actualitate\/schimbare-in-actionariatul-de-la-deva-gold-cepromin-a-primit-o-autorizatie-pentru-exploatarea-aurului-de-la-certej\/\" target=\"_blank\">screening stage had been initiated<\/a> for <span class=\"symple-highlight symple-highlight-green \"> obtaining the environmental permit.<\/span>\u00a0.<a href=\"https:\/\/miningwatch.ro\/sitenou\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=420&amp;action=edit#sdfootnote2sym\"><sup><br \/>\n<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hunedoara County Council issued <span class=\"symple-highlight symple-highlight-green \">the Urban Planning Certificate <\/span> no. 5094\/30.07.2012 with the approval of B\u0103i\u0163a commune Mayor no. 1298\/20.07.2012. Deva Gold obtained the <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/WM4ctw\" target=\"_blank\">environmental permit<\/a> no. 5387 \/02.07.2013 for the Regional Urban Planning \u201ePUZ \u2013 Mining of Gold-Silver Ores in the B\u0103i\u0163a Cr\u0103ciune\u015fti area, Teascu Deposit\u201d, only five months after the EPA Hunedoara\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/apmhd.anpm.ro\/files\/APM%20Hunedoara\/PUZ-DEVAGOLD-Decizieetapaincadrare.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">screening decision<\/a> for the environmental assessment.<\/p>\n<p><b>The environmental agreement for drilling<\/b><\/p>\n<p>According to the<a href=\"http:\/\/apmhd.anpm.ro\/decizie_etapa_de_incadrare_deva_gold-71967\" target=\"_blank\"> screening stage decision <\/a>no. 6816\/16.08.2012, issued by Hunedoara EPA for &#8220;Access roads, boreholes for the project Mining of gold-silver ores in the B\u0103i\u0163a Cr\u0103ciune\u015fti area, Teascu deposit\u201d, <span class=\"symple-highlight symple-highlight-green \"> this work is not subject to the environmental impact assessment and is not subject to the adequate assessment, although an activated bentonite composition was used <\/span>. Moreover, Hunedoara EPA indicated that, based on the analysis of the document \u201ePresentation of Avifauna as Conservation Objective of the NATURA 2000 ROSPA 0132 Metaliferi Mountains site and of the project&#8217;s impact upon it\u201d prepared by Wildlife Management Consulting SRL (264\/16.09.2010) it was concluded that the drilling project would have no significant impact upon this natural area of community interest.<\/p>\n<p><b>Archaeological survey<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A large number of <a href=\"http:\/\/arheologie.ulbsibiu.ro\/publicatii\/bibliotheca\/chunedoara\/c.htm\" target=\"_blank\">archaeological vestiges<\/a> were discovered on the territory of B\u0103i\u0163a commune, dating back as early as prehistory, which demonstrates that this area provided extremely favourable conditions for human presence from the time of the earliest human civilisation. Important Roman vestiges were also discovered here, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baita.ro\/istoric\/istoric.php\" target=\"_blank\">a mining extraction centre and an administrative centre<\/a>. According to the National Archaeological Directory there are <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.cimec.ro\/scripts\/ARH\/RAN\/sel.asp?lpag=10&amp;Lang=RO&amp;layers=&amp;crsl=2&amp;csel=2&amp;clst=1&amp;Omod=1&amp;Oloc=1&amp;nr=398\" target=\"_blank\">eight archaeological sites and Roman settlements <\/a>recorded within B\u0103i\u0163a commune.
